The Xiaomi 15 series will enter the Chinese market on October 23, the company has announced. Without giving out much information, Xioami has hinted that this series will ome equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip and feature two devices: Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. The high-end device is most likely to compete with OnePlus 13, arriving the same month. Before the release, the buzz around the Xioami 15 Pro is fuming. The high-end smartphone is expected to pack a massive 6000mAh. Let’s delve deeper.
Design and Display: According to the leaked render, published by Smartprix, the Xioami 15 Pro will get a revamped design. The leaks provide a detailed look at Xiaomi’s forthcoming smartphone, confirming three-colour options: Black, Grey, and White. The device’s camera module has been significantly updated, now larger and housing more camera sensors than the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The flashlight has been relocated outside the module, making way for an enhanced camera system. Leica branding is prominently displayed between four distinct camera rings. Upon closer inspection, the Periscope lens is visible at the bottom left, indicating a notable upgrade in zoom functionality.
The upcoming Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to boast a 6.78-inch quad-curved 2K AMOLED display, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. This represents a slight increase in screen size compared to the Xiaomi 14 Pro, which measures 6.73 inches. The enhanced display promises an immersive visual experience.
Processor: According to leaks, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be powered by the cutting-edge Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage options. Additional features like, in-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced security, stereo speakers for immersive audio, and IP68 rating for dust and water resistance hint at a premium smartphone experience.
The smartphone will run on a HyperOS 2.0, promising up to 5 years of Android updates.
Camera: The Xiaomi 15 Pro’s camera system is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with Light Fusion 900 series technology, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a new 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 telephoto lens with 5X zoom and macro capabilities (30cm focus). For selfies, it might come with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and features a Leica branding, indicating enhanced optical quality.
While mostly retaining the Xiaomi 14 Pro’s camera setup, the upgraded telephoto lens promises improved zoom and macro photography.
Battery: The Xioami 15 Pro is also expected to pack a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired, 80W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
