From the archives of M. C. Lilley, this listing is for an antique stamping die that was used to make a Brakeman hat badge for railroad or street railway.  The die probably dates to the 1910-1920 period. The letters are ¼” high and the BRAKEMAN text is 1 15/16” long. The steel die weighs 12+ oz and the condition is Excellent.  Please look at all the photos and ask any questions.
